as mentioned in one of the pages in this blog, our color motif is black and white with pink as accent color... with that said, i wanted to achieve a black and white combination with the entourage's ensemble... but i've already decided that there will be no blacks on my female ento's dresses... so let the men be the black, and the ladies be the "white".
initially, i thought of letting them wear white... but i read in one article that it's a no-no to wear white to a wedding unless you're the bride. but, hey, I'll be the bride anyway, and I definitely won't mind even if we are all wearing white. for a while, i brushed that idea off... and decided to choose a very light shade of pink so it's close enough to white but NOT white. so there, i printed the gown designs and headed to my couturier.. but i got a little bit disappointed when they didnt have the right shade of pink that i want. their lightest was baby pink. you know, the typical, baby's pink... the color you see on baby girls' clothes and toys... i wanted something lighter than that... something like, blush pink...
yes i know for some, this is still and just pink... what's the big fuss! but for me, it's a whole lot different shade! and the couturier's fabric swatches don't have this shade. :(
so, last night, i kept on researching about colors of bridesmaids dresses, and stumbled across a very enlightening website....
bridesmaid dresses trends for 2011
and surprise! surprise! there is a feature about white bridesmaid dresses... and i really loved how they presented it...

white everything, plus a bright accent color! there goes our pink! but this time, not the blush pink anymore, im changing it to honeysuckle pink!!! (and what the couturier calls the pomelo pink) so i'll just get my girls' opinion, comments and negative reactions, and if they all agree, white it is! :)
go cuz..love that!
